What rocketsalvo.com and the RustPEP software collect, and what they do not.
Last updated October 13, 2026.
Who is responsible
RocketSalvo is operated by Geoffrey Huber, an individual developer in California, USA.Questions about this statement go to [email protected].
This website
rocketsalvo.com is a static site. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no forms, no comments, no advertising and no payment processing. It sets no cookies and does not use browser storage to identify you.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical details of each request, such as browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. It reports aggregate figures: which pages were viewed, the referring site, country, browser and operating system type, and page load times.
Fonts and images are served from rocketsalvo.com itself. No third-party advertising or social media scripts are loaded.
Downloads
Downloading a file needs no registration. A download is an ordinary web request and is handled as described above. Nothing is recorded that ties a download to you personally.
The site counts downloads. For each day it keeps a total per file, per country, and by whether the request came from a browser or from RustPEP checking for or fetching an update. It keeps only these totals: no IP address and no record of an individual request.
RustPEP software
RustPEP does its calculations entirely on your computer. It has no accounts, no telemetry, no analytics and no crash reporting, and it does not send your recipes, results or any other data to RocketSalvo or anyone else. Files you save stay where you save them.
From version 0.2.0, RustPEP checks for a new version when it starts. To do that it requests one file from rocketsalvo.com, and downloads the installer from rocketsalvo.com if you choose to update. These are ordinary web requests, handled as described under “This website” and “Downloads”. They carry no information about you or your work.
On Windows, RustPEP uses the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime. If it is missing, the installers download it from Microsoft. That download, and WebView2 itself, are covered by Microsoft’s privacy statement.
If you email RocketSalvo, your address and message are used only to reply and to act on what you sent, such as a bug report. They are not sold, shared or added to a mailing list. Ask at any time and your messages will be deleted.
